Why your phone can't do this everywhere
iPhone's built-in full-page screenshot works only in Safari and a handful of Apple apps. In WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, banking apps or anything else, there is no scrolling screenshot — you are left taking several normal screenshots as you scroll. Android is patchy too: some phones offer scroll capture, many apps block it. The universal fix is the same on every device: capture overlapping screenshots, then stitch them together into one long screenshot.
How to stitch screenshots together
- Take overlapping screenshots while you scroll — repeat roughly a third of the screen in each shot so the tool has a shared region to match.
- Add them all at once. They are read locally and ordered by filename; drag any stragglers into place with the ↑ ↓ buttons.
- The overlaps are detected automatically — each pair is aligned pixel-by-pixel and the repeated status bar is removed from the join.
- Check the preview and download. Fine-tune any seam by hand if needed, then save as PNG or JPEG.
Tips for a clean stitch
- Overlap generously — a third to half a screen. Too little overlap (or none) forces a plain end-to-end join.
- Scroll straight down without zooming or rotating between shots.
- Avoid capturing while animations, videos or auto-playing GIFs are moving — the frames won't match.
- Sticky headers and bottom bars are fine: they are detected as repeats and cut from the middle joins automatically.

How do I take a scrolling screenshot on iPhone in any app?
iOS only offers full-page screenshots in Safari and a few Apple apps. In every other app — WhatsApp, Instagram, banking apps — take several normal screenshots while you scroll, overlapping each one by about a third of the screen, then stitch them here into one long image.
Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?
Never. Matching and stitching run entirely in your browser with the File and Canvas APIs. Open your DevTools Network tab while you use it — you will see no request carrying your images.
How does the automatic stitching work?
Consecutive screenshots of the same scroll are pixel-identical where they overlap. The tool compares rows of pixels to find that shared region, joins the images there, and cuts away the repeated status bar or navigation bar so it never appears mid-image.
What if a seam is joined in the wrong place?
Open “Adjust seams” and drag the slider for that seam — the preview updates live. This can happen when the overlap area is flat and featureless, or when you scrolled past the overlap entirely (the screenshots share no content). In that case they are joined end-to-end with the repeated bars trimmed; overlapping a bit more of the screen next time avoids it.
How many screenshots can I combine, and how long can the result be?
Dozens. Very long results are scaled down slightly only if they exceed your browser’s maximum canvas size (about 16 million pixels — roughly 12 iPhone screens at full width); the tool tells you when that happens.
Does it work with Android screenshots, or mixed portrait sizes?
Yes — any screenshots of the same width stitch automatically, whatever the phone. Images of different widths are joined end-to-end without overlap detection.
